Fishing under the High Tatras
The main Europian watershed between the Black
sea and the Baltic sea flows across the High Tatras. 40 brooks abduce
water from the Tatras .Brooks run into four bigger rivers. Pstruh
potocny (Salmo trutta m. fario) and lipen obyčajný (Thymallus thymallus)
are largely represented in limpid brooks of the High Tatras. Sivon
americky (Salvelinus fontinalis), pstruh duhovy (Oncorhynchus mykiss),
jalec hlavaty (Leuciscus cephalus) and podustava severna (Chondrostoma
nasus) are also appearanced there. Fishing is allowed from 16. 4.
to 31. 8. fishing of lipen obycajny is allowed from 1. 6. to 31.

The daily time of fishing:
April and September from 6 a. m . to 7 p. m .
May and August from 5 a. m. to 9 p. m.
June and July from 4 a. m. to 10 p. m.
Fishing rate of fishes:
It´s allowed to vindicate fishes, which reach the lowest fishing
rate
Pstruh duhovy (Oncorhynchus mykiss), 25 cm
Pstruh potocny (Salmo trutta m. fario), 25 cm
Sivon americky (Salvalinus fontinalis), 25 cm
Lipen obycajny (Thymallus thymallus), 27 cm
A fisher can vindicate not more like four chunks of salmonoid fishes,
including lipeň or four chunks podustva, mrena severná or their
combination. A daily fishing comes to the end by vindicating four
chunks of these fishes. A mount of another sorts of fishes, which
can be vindicate in time fishing, is not more like 5 kg.
 
Fisher has to let fishes, which are in the time of special care,
or fishes, which fall short of specified fishing rate, immediately
back into the water and also in the case when they are injured in
any reason, the same also concern to another water organisms. Fisher
snips the leader and let fish back into the water, if it is not
possible to let loose hook without injuring fish.
It is forbidden in the trout water:
A) only fishing with one fishing rod
B) use living fish like decoy
C) use another like artificial flies not more like three by fishing
D) use all above one hook by fishing on dead fish
E) fish for swimming and laid
F) use only one decoy except fishing at artificial flies
G) use like decoy worms and insect in all their development phase
H) fish more like three – times a week
