POPRAD
City of Poprad is a tourist centre and an entrance to Hihg Tatras. Over a radius of 50 km from Poprad there are 4 national parks (each one is specific), 4 thermal mineral springs and 4 different caves.
KEŽMAROK
City of Kezmarok is one of the centres lying inside of Spissky region. This region has very long history and there is many cultural and historic monuments and buildings. It is also a district. It is situated near High Tatras, 630m above sea level.
ŽDIAR
The area of Zdiar is one of the extraordinary characteristic Goral villages in Slovakia. Due to its favourable position between the mountains Belianske Tatras and Spisská Magura, Zdiar has been predicted to become a developed tourist centre. Lying in the middle of mountains and beautiful nature all tourists can find there a source of relaxation and a new physical and psychical powers.
MENGUSOVCE
This village belongs to the protected area of Tatras National Park (TANAP) and there is a very nice view of High and Low tatras from the village.
ŠTRBA
An area of Strba has a good location in the High Tatras foothills. You can chose from many forms of transport such as transportion by bus or by a car, rail transportion or transportion by cog-wheel train. Strba provides an accommodation for a large capacity of people, a high-level business services and there are hearty and hospitable people. These facts create the conditions for developing of tourism, a recreation and the services.
VEĽKÝ SLAVKOV
Velky Slavkov is a modern village and thanks to a good location it is an ideal entrance to High Tatras. It provides an accommodation in modern hotels and apartments and also in privat family houses.
NOVÁ LESNÁ
This village has an ideal location for tourism. It is situated in the foothills of High Tatras, near the city of Poprad and at the distance of 10 km from an international airport.
STARÁ LESNÁ
Below the highets peaks of High Tatras, in the area between Tatras National Park (TANAP) and the mountain meadows there is situated a village called Stara Lesna.
STARÝ SMOKOVEC
The village is an important intersection because the railway lines are crossed with the lines of Tatras electric railway and there is also the land cableway to Hrebienok that is an entrance to the most visited valleys. In the village there is a wide range of business services, the branch offices of some banks and the exchange facilities.
TATRANSKÁ
LOMNICA
In 1949 Tatranska Lomnica became a residence of the Administration of Tatras National Park. There were built the industrial buildings and in 1969 also an original building of museum with an observational station. In 1994 there was created a botanical garden to let the tourists see an exposition of the High Tatras flora.
ŠTRBSKÉ PLESO
It is the highest situated medical tourist village in High Tatras lying on the left side of the tarn having the same name – Strbske pleso.
