Belianska jaskyňa

Belianska jaskyňa is located in the eastern part of the Beliansky Tatras, on the northern slope of Kobylie peak, and offers visitors innumerable underground works of art by Mother Nature – large halls and domes, pagodas and lakes and sinter lakes. Concerts of recorded music take place each August in an area with good accoustics called the Music Hall. Eight species of bat live in the cave.

Važecká jaskyňa

Važecká jaskyňa

Važecka jaskyňa is located on the road from Liptovský Mikuláš to Poprad, in Važecký kras on the edge of the town of Važec. It is not big in size but it is rich in stalactite and stalagmite adornment, in delicate shapes and colors, including thin quills, on delightful sinter lakes and miniature dams. A significant part of the cave is filled with the sediments deposited by the former waters of the Bielý Váh river. The bones of a cave bear were discovered in the cave.

Demänovská jaskyňa slobody

This cave, full of stalactites and stalagmites, is part of the national natural monument Demänovské jaskyne, the longest cave system in Slovakia. It lies in Demänovská valley, south of Liptovský Mikuláš, and it is distinguished by the magnificent colours of the stalactites and stalagmites and the uniqueness of their shapes. White, yellow, orange, black and their various shades mingle in the rocky waterfalls. Veľký dóm (The Great Dome) is also sure to impress visitors – it is the largest accessible underground space in Slovakia.

Demänovská ľadová jaskyňa

This cave, Like Demänovská jaskyňa Slobody, is also part of the most extensive cave network of Demänovská jaskyňa. It is very different, however, with its magnificent ice ornamentation. The ice in the interior is in the lower parts of the cave, especially in the Kmeťov dome. The bones of a cave bear were discovered in the cave and in the past were thought to be the bones of a dragon, earning the cave the name of Dragon Cave.
